The images are below - that wedding changed the course of my life. From there I jumped into editorial, product and fashion fields, eventually landing within the fine art fields and pursuing an MFA in Photography from Columbia College.  After teaching for several years, I came to miss weddings!

My style is rooted in documentary approaches to photography, emphasizing small captivating moments and showing the full spectrum of humanness that come together in one of our oldest human celebrations.  In the last five years I have also expanded into a unique niche which my attention to detail and knack for systems thinking has allowed me to excel in:  Archival Digitizaiton and management. Corporate, family and artistic.   I now take on several major corporate contracts per year for archiving and commercial work, alongside a few select smaller projects that align with my interests, and like to work in a few weddings as well.  Past clients include the Dia Foundation, The Smithsonian, the Gap, Pacific Gas and Electric, the East Bay Municipal Utility District, and the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive.

My camera story began in middle school, with my fathers nikon, making photographs that looked like what I was seeing in music videos in the 90's (bjork meets b+w). I shot my first wedding at 17, with the instructions to make it "look like a 50's italian paparazzo wedding."
